De Enterse Kloomp'n Daansers

About us

Enter is a township in the Twente region, in the eastern part of the Netherlands, with a long tradition of making wooden shoes by hand. In 1992 a groupa called the "Kloomp'n Daansers" (Clog Dancers) decided to put a new life into an old tradition. We like to propagate the folklore of our region, esspecially the dances, songs, and music from the early 19th Century.

We dress up in traditional costume the farmers from our region used to wear, including the world-famous wooden shoes, of course. Every now and then we perform at various events and festivals in the Netherlands and in the rest of Europe, as well as in Canada and the USA.

Our group has 13 dancing couples and 5 musicians. We can bring you a full day or just an afternoon or evening of entertainment and relaxation. Please contact us for further information.
